Happy Black History Month

February is Black History Month! I know i'm suppose to be on my 4-1 protective hair styling until June. I've decided to take the month off instead to celebrate my heritage and wear my hair the way our foremothers use to wear their hair before they were introduced to hair straightening creams and tools and eventually, hair extensions. My biweekly hair wash and turnover schedule will stay the same.

In case you're wondering, I didn't go out with my hair out like this, I went out like this (see below) instead. I'll wait till the spring before I start wearing my hair out again.

    I love your look in the first picture...I wish my hair has grown to this length.

      To tell you the truth it took me 3years to get there! I'm battling with a chronic case of breakage, but i'm working on it though :)
      So, don't worry your hair will get there eventually :)
