May Hairstyles 3: Flat Twists

Style 1
Full Head Flat Twists
For this style, I took about 10 minutes out of my grooming time in the morning to put this style together. Since I planned to wear a flat twist-out with a side part the next day, I decided to do a complete flat twist on my head. This style isn't perfect as I only spent 10 minute on it and I only planned to wear it for about a day or two.  Also, i'm still working on my hair styling skills, so please bear with me until I reach perfection :)

Style 2
All Back Flat Twists with Single Twists Up Front
I think this style speaks for itself. Also, my hair plan for the following day was to wear a flat twist-out with a textured pompadour up front, but I decided to put my hair in the style below instead, as I find "tamed hair" to be predictable.
Style 3
Single Twists, Flat Twists and a Bun
Talk about being so indecisive! Should I wear single twists, flat twists, or a bun? "Heck why not go with all three" I thought. and so I did!

**These styles are so easy that you can easily replicate them without watching any YT video or reading pictorial instructions.

Happy Styling and remember to be creative with your hair :)

  1. After seeing one of your posts some time back, I flat twisted the hair of my Training head doll, and I was cool, and then proceeded to flat twist the sides of my own hair. I just did not like the fact that my hair was tangling in the process. I am not sure I want to lose hair because of my inability to twist hair well.

    1. Hey, first of all, good job for trying. Did you do the twists on wet shrunken hair or on dry stretched hair? I did all the styles on moisturized dry stretched hair. when I run into knotted hair, I would pause and take them out or it there and work "around" it. This is why my twists haven't been absolutely smooth and the parts aren't perfectly straight. Trying to achieve a perfect style would take me longer and might even hurt :( Keep Trying though. I've been doing flat twists for two years now and I find that I improve with practice.
