DIY Hair Product: Aloevera Juice + Rose Water Hair Spritz Recipe

As much as I would love to try every Natural hair products out there, the difficulty in accessing these products as well as the exhorbitant price tags have restricted me from trying a majority of them. Also, I find that my (bipolar) hair doesn't respond to product well, and so instead of wasting money sampling products, I just make my own. I also recognize that most of these products are not available to Naturals living outside the United states as a majority (or all) of the popular products out there are made by Americans. So, what is a Naturalista living in India, China, Namibia, Malaysia, Peru or even Canada to do when she has no access to these Hairmazing products? YOU SIMPLY MAKE YOUR OWN!

Purchased this size  from wal-mart for $9
I enjoy cooking and baking and so I enjoy making my own hair and skincare products from scratch! Infact, I have a recipe book where I record different mixtures that I've made over the last few years. As I like to share, I'll be posting ALL the recipes that have worked well for me in separate posts over the next few weeks.

Aloevera Juice + Rose Water Hair Spritz
1/4 cup Aloe Vera Juice
1/8 cup Rose Water
2 Tbsp Glycerin
1 Tbsp Castor oil
1 Tbsp Olive oil
*Optional 1 Tbsp Leave-in conditioner of choice. (I used Shea Moisture)

@ No Frills $2
Direction: Combine everything in a spray bottle, shake it up and lightly spritz onto hair daily or as often as needed. Your hair only need to be hydrates, not damped with water. You may use your hands to smooth the mixture down your hairshaft to ensure equal distribution. And style as usual. Store remaining mixture out at room temperature or in the fridge. I usually store mine in the fridge

Result: Hair will feel very soft and the oils in the mixture will give a silky/slippery feeling which is a plus because this slippery feeling helps your hair strands smoothly glide against each other without tangling.

Product Find Canada:
I bought the AVJ from Wal-mart, Rose Water from No Frills (you can also find it at any Indian store), Glycerin and Castor oil from a health food store, Olive oil from No frills and Shea Moisture from Clore Beauty Supply.

Please try this mixture out and let me know what the result is with your hair. I absolutely LOVE this mixture and so i'm very sure that you would too.
